Education
Educational facilities are an area of expertise for Ontrack. Children, young people, teachers, and staff need to feel secure to perform at their best, in the classroom, and while playing. Educational properties are often vulnerable to vandalism too.
There are several fencing solutions which are ideal for educational facilities. If you don’t see an option that suits you or if you have questions, please contact us on 01732 900777
Considerations:
- Special education needs and disabilities such as prepared timber to avoid splinters; anti-trap gaps in railings i.e. RoSPA specification; additional guards on hinges to prevent pinch points; latches on gates installed at high levels out of reach of students.
- Height requirements
- Budget
- Timeframes
- Security needs
Fence finish and installation options include:
- Clip or clamp fixing solution.
- All metal fencing is powder-coated over galvanised steel and the stock colour is green. Other colours are available.
358 Anti-Climb Mesh Systems Palisade Fencing
This is the preferred solution specified by the Department for Education.
Subtle and smart, robust, and resilient, this fencing is perfect for educational facilities. Narrow mesh apertures prevent footholds, while allowing for good visibility.
V-Mesh Profiled Mesh Systems
A boundary demarcation single-mesh fencing system that blends into its surroundings, providing rigidity through a V-shaped horizontal indent.
V-Mesh Privacy Fence System with Timber Infills
The strength of metal with the aesthetic appeal of timber, this fencing provides privacy as well as security and protection.
868/656 Twin Wire Systems
Twin Wire fencing systems provide excellent security thanks to their interlinked mesh. This design is popular thanks to its difficulty to climb and cut. There are 6mm and 8mm diameter horizontal wire options, depending on the security requirements.
868 Twin Wire Rebound Mesh System
Perfect for a school playground, sports ground or MUGA, this fencing showcases a clever design.
A close-fitting Twin Wire mesh construction across the lower half rebounds the ball back onto the pitch, court, or field. The top half of the fencing has a wider spacing Twin Wire system, providing continued security, while visually appealing.
Vertical Railings
Vertical railings make for a traditional frontage to schools, colleges, and other educational settings. There are many options with this style of fencing including height, rail heads, width, and infill.
We offer a range of railings compliant with RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) specifications.
Acoustic Barriers
Acoustic barriers might be perceived as a ‘nice extra’ for educational settings, but they can help with local residents and businesses. We recommend reflective or absorbent acoustic fencing, both of which come in a number of styles.
Gate Automation and CCTV
The height of strong security, gate automation, access control and CCTV protect those on the property and give administrators another level of control. Swing gates and slide gates are options and there are various automation and CCTV solutions available.
The Ontrack experts will recommend fencing solutions when they visit your educational setting, as well as controlled entry and noise control options.
